What is the Primary School Newspaper Recycling Scheme?
Recycling 2000 operate a Newspaper Recycling Scheme which raises much needed funds for primary school green flag committees throughout County Wexford.
Children, Parents, Relatives and Friends can make a real difference to your environment by supporting this worthwhile cause. The more newspaper you and your friends collect, the more money your school receives for important environmental projects and the greener your school will become.
Recycling 2000’s main objective is to create jobs in Wexford while encouraging environment education within our schools and communities. We need your old newspapers to make our objectives a reality and all newspapers are actually recycled in Wexford into animal bedding.
Competition Details:
All County Wexford participating schools are invited to enter into the Schools Newspaper Collection Competition. There will be a draw twice yearly with a number of personal prizes available to participating pupils.
How to enter:
Tie a bundle of 8-10 newspapers together.
Put your name, class number and your school on an A4 sheet of paper and attach it to the front of the bundle before it’s tied.
Put the bundle into your newest newspaper recycling bin/bank.

Donations:
We make a financial donation to the green school committee of every participating school for each bin of newspaper collected from the school.
